APPLICATION
DEADLINE IS MAY 15TH, 2008
Fee for a 12' x 12' space $200. Fee must be paid by check or credit card
with application. Your fee will include dinner for one (1) at the Show
Banquet held Saturday evening at Ruschmeyers Estate, Second House Road
in Montauk. Artists are welcome to bring guests at $40 per person. Restaurants
now require us to register the number of dinner reservations by August
5, 2008, so we include a space for this information below. This may be
paid by credit card.
THE
JURY: All applications will go
to the jury as soon after May 15th as is
practicable. Artists will be informed immediately.
We are only able to accommodate 75 artists,
so even if you have shown with us for years,
your current work is important to us. Please
include 4 - 6 prints or slides. The jury
not only looks for expertise but diversification
as well.
SHOW
SET UP: You may set up your tent
on the Montauk Green, Rt. 27 - Montauk
NY anytime after noon on Friday, August
15th To try to avoid the Hampton traffic
gridlock, we suggest you plan to arrive
by noon on Friday. We will include a map
of the short (long) cuts and road alternatives
with your acceptance letter. We will check
with you at your tent Saturday morning
for updates and deli lunch orders. For
your location information, check the map
listings on the billboard at the "Member
Tent".
JUDGING
AND AWARDS: Cash and ribbons will
be awarded. Judging will take place between
10 AM and Noon on Saturday. Awards will
be promptly at noon. The winners will be
announced at the Show Banquet.

CANCELLATIONS: If
unforeseen complications require your cancellation,
we will do our best to fill your space with
an artist on stand-by. If we can, your fee
will be refunded. Cancellations after August
11 will not be refunded.

This
is a Fine Art Show. No Dealers - No Crafts
- No Jewelry - No T-shirts
Exhibit space will be allotted at the
discretion of the Show Committee. Overnight
security is provided Friday and Saturday
night for racks and tents. Because of
dew, fog and sudden winds, leaving artwork
overnight is not recommended. All vehicles,
after unloading, MUST BE PARKED IN PARKING
LOTS. A comment from many artists' has
been that parking around the perimeter
of the show seems to wall the show off
from the public. Parking along the edge
of the show or on the West side of the
hedge is at risk of a parking ticket.
Artists must supply their own racks,
tents, tables and chairs and provide
their own shade. Artists are responsible
for keeping their display area neat and clean at all times. The Show
Committee reserves the right to reject or remove from the exhibit
any and all work deemed contrary to the
show's best interest. There will be no
commissions on sales. Artists should
have NY State sales tax #. The rate at
this posting is 8.67%.
ARTIST MUST SIGN WAIVER:
I will not hold the Montauk Artists' Association,
Inc. or the Town of East Hampton, NY responsible
for personal injury, loss or damage to art
entered in the show or equipment used for
display. I agree not to be a part of any
legal action against the sponsors or the
committee of this show.
